Regeneration Programme Manager
Planning, co-ordination, direct implementation and delivery of the Yeovil, Chard and Wincanton Regeneration Schemes.
12 month fixed term contract until April 2020
Salary: £29,909 – £42,806
We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for the delivery of an Innovative Regeneration Programme, which will help transform our main town centres of Yeovil, Chard and Wincanton.
The regeneration schemes for Yeovil, Chard and Wincanton town centres are three of the key priorities set out in the council plan. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a proven track record of managing projects on time and to budget. Within this role you will be responsible for the management of internal project managers, who collectively will deliver a portfolio of projects. You will work closely with the economic development, localities, planning, commercial land and property teams and a variety of external stakeholders to help ensure that we achieve fast progress and stated outcomes are delivered. You will have access to support in delivering and developing the role.
You will have:
- a sound understanding of current project management methodologies and working practices
- excellent organisation skills
- excellent communication and influencing skills
- understanding and some experience of regeneration
- the ability to identify key synergies between projects together with managing staff and multiple projects
