Providing a high quality information service to all customers at the Tourist Information Centres.

Salary: £9.01 per hour

We have a vacancy within our department. We are looking to appoint a new casual Tourist Information Assistant(s) to work across our two Information Centres at Cartgate and Petters Way during our busy high summer season (March – October). Candidates will need to work a minimum of 4 weekend days each month, further shifts are available as holiday cover throughout the season.

The successful candidate(s) will need to possess excellent knowledge and great enthusiasm for South Somerset and everything that it has to offer as a destination. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and should have experience of working with the public in a busy front line situation. Competent use of Microsoft Office and the ability to multi task in a busy working environment are essential. This role involves weekend and shift working across the two locations. Flexibility is vital to help ensure the team can provide seven days a week cover at Cartgate TIC for the summer months. Shifts involve lone working.
